Job summary

Berlin Packaging in Illinois is seeking a Forklift Operator I to support warehouse operations, prep shipments, and move product safely using forklift and related equipment.

You will organize orders, transfer supplies between departments, and maintain accurate records in the ERP system while upholding cGMP and ISO standards. Prior warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, and you must complete Berlin's forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Prior warehouse and forklift operator experience strongly preferred.
• Must take and pass the Company Forklift Certification program.
• Ability to complete tasks with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to learn.
• Has a positive attitude and contributes to a positive team culture.
• Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation.
• Model safe work practices.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, hand truck / warehouse carts, pallet jack, and/or other equipment in a professional and safe manner.
• Organize and prepare customer orders with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Transfer supplies from department to department to meet production or shipping demand.
• Properly store and label all materials and finished product.
• May prepare billing processes and paperwork for warehouse and drop ship orders.
• May be required to record transactions via computer in ERP system.
• Perform cycle counting as required.
• Notify leadership of non-compliant ware.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized to cGMP standards.
• Comply with all ISO standards.
• Support company and branch metrics.
• Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin Values.
• Other tasks as required.
