Job summary

UFP Industries seeks a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, ensure accurate paperwork, and provide production with material according to the schedule.

Responsibilities include moving materials, stacking, maintaining inventory records, performing pre-shift checks, and participating in safety programs. Candidates should be at least 18, with forklift licensing process completed or in progress; basic math skills helpful.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized inventory yards.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
