Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is hiring a Forklift Operator I in Minnesota to move materials between inventory and production according to the schedule. You will maintain accurate paperwork and production records and supply departments with materials from inventory.

Key duties include moving materials between stations, labeling and packing products, and assisting with bottlenecks. The role requires basic math, adherence to safety rules, and willingness to obtain forklift licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain forklift licensing.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift equipment startup checklists and report issues.
• Maintain organized inventory yard and records.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift safety policies as described by the company.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
