Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, and to maintain accurate production records. The role supports production schedules by ensuring material availability and timely movement of goods.

Responsibilities include handling finished goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and maintaining safe, organized inventory yards. Basic math skills and forklift licensing are required; 18+ years old with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques is preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from inventory to production and back to inventory.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods; label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment; complete pre-shift startup checklists and report issues.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard and complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies; participate in safety and CI programs.
