Job summary

Ferche Millwork is seeking a dedicated forklift operator to safely transport materials, load and unload freight, and organize warehouse space. You will handle lumber and raw materials, maintain safety and efficiency, and support production with accurate material handling.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification preferred, good safety record, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift safely and efficiently following all rules and procedures.
• Assist other forklift drivers when possible.
• Plan and organize warehouse space for inventories (finished goods, raw lumber).
• Sort and organize raw materials to meet production schedules.
• Transport waste for disposal and rework processes.
• Maintain effective communication with management and coworkers.
• Operate forklift indoors/outdoors in all weather and space constraints.
• Load/unload and secure materials for transport and storage.
• Ensure quality and minimize damage during transport and handling.
• Read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and loading schedules.
• Inspect incoming freight for quantity and condition; report issues.
