Job summary

Tindell's Building Materials in Knoxville, TN is seeking a dependable forklift operator for our 2nd shift. You will help load/unload, stage materials, and keep the yard safe and organized.

Ideal candidates have forklift experience, can lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly, and communicate effectively. A teamwork mindset and reliability are valued. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience and familiarity with warehouse procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math, read orders, and complete forms.
• Clear communication with team members and supervisors, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and proper handling of loads.
• Understanding of materials and products handled in the yard/warehouse.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds repeatedly during duties.
• Team player with a positive attitude and cooperative spirit.

Responsibilities

• Place material in the staging area and return paperwork to appropriate location.
• Assist unloading and replacing returned merchandise in stock.
• Operate forklift to assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Organize and secure yard or warehouse for safety.
• Maintain housekeeping in yard and warehouse.
• Complete forklift pre‑op checklist when assigned.
• Assist supervisor and other employees as needed.

Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm, Monday-Friday (2nd Shift, $18/hr)
