Job summary

Americold in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.

You will load and unload freight, stock merchandise, pick orders, inspect for damage, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while following OSHA standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and at least 3 months of related experience is suggested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely to meet production standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed and may have other duties.
• Maintain safety and comply with OSHA standards while working in varying temperatures.
