Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment. The role emphasizes accurate handling, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires the ability to meet production targets, operate in varied temperatures, and perform duties such as inventory and battery changes as needed. High school diploma or GED and prior related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label/sort/wrap/pack as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely to support production and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Meet production standards and participate in inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed.
