Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a general yard worker to assemble orders, wrap pallets, and load vehicles using a forklift. You will work with a team to ensure accurate fulfillment and safe handling of materials.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Candidates should be adaptable and able to stand for extended periods, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift certification or ability to pass internal program.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and performing repetitive motions.
• Flexible schedule and ability to stand for long periods.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders from supervisor and assemble accurately.
• Safely operate forklift to move pallets to staging areas or onto vehicles.
• Interact with customers professionally to verify orders.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance such as recharging batteries and cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned area.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
