Job summary

Amcor is seeking a diligent forklift operator to supply raw materials to production, transfer finished goods to storage areas, and ensure timely loading onto trucks to meet delivery requirements. The role requires attention to safety, accurate data entry, and effective communication across departments.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and forklift certification. The position is on-site in Ames, Iowa, with comprehensive benefits and safety training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to stand/walk 8–12 hours, lift up to 70 pounds, and work around moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain forklift safely using work instructions and computer interface.
• Supply production with raw materials for finished goods.
• Prints and scans Bill of Lading for finished goods.
