Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Material Handler to distribute materials across the production floor, scan products, and move items to designated locations using powered industrial trucks. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to GMP/ISO standards, and accurate material handling across shifts.

Responsibilities include daily forklift inspections, loading/unloading trailers, verifying labels with scanners, and maintaining traceability of lots and non-conforming products.

Qualifications

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of operating a forklift in a safe and cautious manner; six months of forklift driving experience required.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically.
• Previous experience in material handling or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Ability to interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership.
• Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
• Perform daily inspections on forklift.
• Perform Trailer inspections prior to loading & unloading.
• Stock machines with correct materials by reading, interpreting & processing lot information & material type.
• Verify WIP labels, carton ID labels with handheld scanner.
• Check production quantity for accuracy.
• Transport materials/product using scanner.
• Move product to warehouse and assign to proper location.
• Practice First In & First Out product movement.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed or assigned.
• Maintain lot control traceability.
• Assist palletizers or operators when needed.
• Control of non-conforming product.
• Manage scrap identification & flow within production.
• Work and perform to ISO Standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions.
• Uphold Quality Standards and follow the Absolutes.
• Read & interpret traveler/work order.
• Other tasks as assigned.
