Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking a dependable forklift operator in a fast-paced production environment. You will load raw materials, move finished goods, and maintain accurate logs to support on-time delivery.

This full-time role requires operating a sit-down propane/gas/diesel forklift, using an RF scanner, and coordinating with production teams to ensure safety and inventory accuracy. Amcor offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience using sit-down propane, gas or diesel forklift.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• May sit for up to 11 hours per day, looking over shoulder to drive backwards.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management and computer interface.
• Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished product.
• Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner.
• Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
• Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.
• Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
• Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
