Job summary

InterChange Group, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a Lift Truck Operator to safely receive, store and ship food products and packaging materials. You will operate Raymond forklifts and dock loaders and assist with inventory, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Work hours include day and night shifts with rotating weekends; wage at $19.15–$21.90 per hour. Candidates must have at least 1 year sit-down forklift experience, RFID and WMS familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sit-down forklift experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic; sweep as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview:

Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks.

Compensation:

$19.15 to $21.90 / hour
