Job summary

InterChange Group, Inc. seeks a Stand Up/Sit Down Forklift Operator in a ± cold storage environment to safely receive, store and ship food products. You will operate Raymond stand up forklifts and other equipment, promoting safety and efficiency in a temperature-controlled freezer warehouse in Mount Crawford.

Requirements include forklift experience (training provided), RFID and WMS familiarity, and a high school diploma or GED. Pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting; training provided.
• Familiarity with RFID.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work environment through personal actions.
• Load and unload trucks using equipment safely and efficiently.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic; sweep as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks and other safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical are required.

Overview

Under general supervision Stand up Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt storage and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including but not limited to Raymond stand up forklifts Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks Must be able to work in minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit cold storage environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
• Check and count freight for accuracy andor damage
• Take inventory as needed
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment damage to racks and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
• Pre employment background check drug test and physical are required

Minimum Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of Forklift experience specific standup or sit down in a warehouse or manufacturing environment but not mandatory Training will be provided
• Familiarity with RFID
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possession of a valid state drivers license preferred
