Job summary

InterChange Group, Inc in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Forklift Operator for dry warehouse operations on 12-hour shifts. Shift options include day 5:00 am–5:00 pm and night 5:00 pm–5:00 am on a rotating weekend schedule.

Starting pay ranges from $19.15 to $21.90 per hour, with overtime potential. Responsibilities include safe loading/unloading, locating and routing goods, inventory checks, and reporting safety hazards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sit down forklift experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with RFID.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Self-motivator.
• Must be able to work overtime, days and/or evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read numbers and labels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview: Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks.

Compensation: $19.15 to $21.90 / hour

Location: Harrisonburg, CPAD8 Dry Warehouse
