Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Forklift Operator to support freezer operations. Pay is $24.00 per hour with Monday–Friday scheduling and a rotating Sunday shift. This role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move product safely and efficiently.

The position offers benefits from day one and opportunities for growth in a fast‑paced distribution environment. Candidates must be able to pass background and drug tests and work in a multi‑temperature facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Able to work scheduled times and overtime as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, lift 10–90 lbs, and work in multi‑temperature environments.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper storage slots on racks and place pallets with a forklift or by hand.
• Move incoming freight to freezer areas and transport with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock per next day’s work orders.
• Rotate stock to front and remove expired inventory per policy.
• Disperse over‑stocked items to available slots as needed.
• Remove empty pallets and inspect for damage; transport as required.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform equipment safety checks and prepare supplies for operations.
• Wear required PPE and meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Complete end‑of‑shift paperwork and secure equipment.
