Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners and related equipment.

Under general supervision, you will load/unload freight, stock and pick orders, verify accuracy and keep a clean, safe work area. A HS diploma or GED is preferred, with at least 3 months of related experience. Overtime or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using proper equipment to storage and dispatch.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment with accuracy.
• Check freight for damage, infestation and labeling; maintain clean and organized work area.
• Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and occasional battery changes as needed.
