Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently receive, store, and ship food products. You will use sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and RF equipment to move goods safely and accurately within the facility.

Qualification includes a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 3 months of related experience. The role requires adherence to OSHA standards and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment to move products to storage across the facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, infestation, and label/sort/wrap/pack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment (sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, single/double pallet jacks, RF scanners) in a safety-focused manner as per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes; may perform other duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
