Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking an Operator B for 1st shift in Temple, TX. Start time 7:00 am with overtime as needed to meet daily production goals.

The role entails transporting unfinished and finished mattresses and related materials within the plant and to shipping areas. The Operator B will move materials between production staging and warehouse, operating forklifts in a busy environment, and will must communicate with management to ensure on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and completely understand the labeling process.
• Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
• Recharge batteries or propane tanks, as instructed.
• Understanding of the Carpenter Company Safe Stacking Policy and recognition of Prohibited and Restricted area requirements.
• Must be able to drive a forklift in reverse transporting finished and/or unfinished product to a specific location.
• Must operate a forklift in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Transport unfinished and finished product to specified locations to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Move raw materials to production staging area and finished mattresses to warehouse for shipment.
• Communicate daily with management and other department staff to coordinate work.
