Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently sort, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight on a busy dock in South Bend, Indiana.

This role requires the ability to safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts and to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Starting pay is $22.85 per hour with full health insurance benefits on day one, life and disability insurance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Experience operating a forklift and dock/warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jack and forklift to move goods on the dock.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools.
• Work safely and adhere to company policies.
• Scan and track shipments with handheld devices.
