Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator to join its dock team in a fast-paced environment. The role involves efficiently moving palletized and non-palletized freight using forklift and pallet jack, while adhering to safety policies and using handheld devices to track shipments.

Candidates should be able to perform basic math, be at least 18 years old, and be available for a variety of shifts to accommodate fluctuating freight volumes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use forklift and pallet jack to move goods as required.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and in line with company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Operate on a dock that may be not climate-controlled for extended periods.
