Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Forklift Operator to load and unload materials, move them between storage areas, machines and docks, and participate in cross-training for plant needs. The role offers 2nd shift (2PM–10PM) with starting wages from $21.61/hour and incentives.

Candidates must pass written and driving tests for operator's license, work safely under all regulations, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and be available for overtime and various shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to operate industrial trucks and follow directions.
• Must pass written and driving test to obtain operator's license.
• Work safely and comply with safety regulations.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Willing to work daily overtime and various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage industrial trucks to load/unload materials and move them to storage areas, machines and loading docks.
• Ensure proper operation and care of the forklift and perform duties across shift changes as required.
• Complete quality checks and inspections and report any safety concerns to supervision.
• Support cross-training efforts for plant needs and assist other drivers as needed.
