Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Sioux City, IA area. The role focuses on operating industrial trucks to load/unload materials, and moving goods to and from storage and loading docks during the 2nd shift.

The ideal candidate will pass a written and driving test for a forklift license, maintain safety standards, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Overtime and multiple shifts are required.

Qualifications

Operate industrial trucks following safety rules and instructions.
Pass written and driving test to obtain forklift license.
Work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand up to 12 hours a day.
Willing to work daily overtime, weekends and various shifts.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials with forklift and move to storage, machines, or docks.
Maintain safe forklift operation and report any safety concerns.
Complete required quality tests and inspections.
Cross-train with other drivers for plant needs.
Assist with related duties as assigned.
