Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Perth Amboy, NJ plant on 2nd shift. You will operate a forklift/walkie rider to ship/receive products, follow safety protocols, and ensure timely, accurate handling of materials in a team environment.

Responsibilities include receiving schedules from supervision, placing and retrieving materials with a sit-down forklift, and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Proficient forklift and walkie rider operation (driving test will be given at interview).

Job description

We are looking for an experienced FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our Perth Amboy, NJ plant. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM, with overtime as needed. Additional $1.00/hr shift premium added to hourly wage. We offer competitive benefits and salary, plus up to $1.00/hr increase after 90 days.You will be responsible for ensuring our customers' satisfaction by shipping and/or receiving products timely and accurately. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Maintenance, and more. Our Forklift Operators are not sitting on a lift throughout the shift - There is frequent movement which includes lifting. You will work in a team environment with an opportunity to advance in your career with Custom Building Products.
