Job summary

KIK Consumer Products in Salem, VA is seeking a Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods safely within a GMP-compliant warehouse.

You will operate forklifts, perform basic inventory tasks using RF scanners or a Warehouse Management System, and ensure accurate labeling and staging while maintaining 5S and safe work practices. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it on hire.
• Ability to read shipping documents, labels, and inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and different areas.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and equipment to load, unload, transport, and stage raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Load and unload trailers and place inventory into designated locations.
• Perform basic inventory transactions using RF scanners or WMS.
• Conduct visual quality inspections of finished goods before shipment.
• Re-stack, wrap, or secure pallets to maintain safe loads.
• Maintain 5S, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
• Report safety concerns, damaged product, or equipment issues.
• Follow SOPs and PPE requirements; support continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
