Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team. You will sort, load, and unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts, while following safety policies and logistically tracking shipments with handheld devices.

You must be able to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons, and be comfortable on a non-climate-controlled dock. We offer health insurance from day one, PTO, holidays, 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or dock operations within transportation.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environments.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• High attention to detail and desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jacks and forklifts according to safety rules.
• Secure freight inside trailers using proper tools and supplies.
• Operate on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Maintain safe, efficient work practices on the dock.
