Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Material Handler - Forklift (1st Shift) to ensure an efficient flow of materials and finished goods. The role supports receiving, inventory control, and timely material delivery while complying with safety and company policies.

The position collaborates with manufacturing and supply chain teams to prevent shortages, maintain accuracy, and coordinate material movements across the facility. Overtime on 1st shift is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 1st shift with mandatory overtime as needed.
• Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company, departmental, quality, and safety policies and procedures.
• Ship customer orders, including label scanning, trucking, shipping documentation, and ASN completion.
• Receive incoming materials from suppliers and shuttles; stock flow racks and process UPS/FedEx deliveries.
• Supply production lines by loading and delivering material via tugger carts and forklifts, ensuring no material shortages.
• Unload finished goods from production lines and maintain proper inventory locations using FIFO practices.
• Process inventory transactions and shipping documents (packing lists, BOLs, MFG Pro receipts).
• Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and file maintenance (electronic and paper).
• Complete service orders, service boxes, and coordinate packaging material requirements.
• Prepare, band, and package finished goods and components for shipment.
