Job summary

States Logistics Services, Inc. is a third-party logistics company providing warehousing, trucking and related services in Southern California and Arizona.

We are seeking a Forklift Operator for 1st shift to read and fill orders, unload trucks, assemble pallets and maintain safe warehouse operations. Overtime and weekend/holiday shifts are required based on client volume.

Qualifications

• At least six months of related warehouse experience.
• Must be able to work overtime regularly, including 10+ hour shifts, extra days, weekends, and holidays.
• Good attendance and punctuality: must show up on time and work scheduled shifts.
• Willing to do anything and everything needed to succeed, from picking orders to sweeping floors.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Able to read work orders and understand verbal instructions.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, twist, push/pull over 10 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Forklift Operator (1st Shift)

Starting Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 hour

1st shift: Monday – Friday / 4:00am -12:30pm + overtime

This position will require overtime of 10+ hours as well as weekends and holidays based on client volume.

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator / Order Selector:

• Read and accurately fill customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
• Unload trucks, check-in products, match purchase orders to sale orders, and assist shipping and receiving. Verifies list of products unloaded against a purchase order to determine if all product was received and note if there are discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages).
• Assemble customer orders on pallets and relocate them to holding or outbound staging areas. May weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure the company standards.
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for company and customer traffic. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed (ex: sweep, dust, and mop). Including racking, re-configuration, and product consolidation.

Minimum Requirements:

• We strongly prefer at least six (6) months of related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work required overtime regularly, including 10+ hour shifts, extra days, weekends, and holidays.
• Good attendance and punctuality: must show up on time, work scheduled shifts, work mandatory overtime, etc.
• Must be willing to do anything and everything needed to succeed, from picking orders to sweeping the floors.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Able to speak and read work orders and understand/clarify verbal instructions.
• Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: stand, walk, lift, twist, turn, lift/push/pull over 10 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Please be aware that scheduled start times may be adjusted in response to business needs. Unfortunately, personal schedule adjustments cannot be accommodated. Overtime may be required during periods of high demand and is expected to be worked as part of operational requirements
