Job summary

Harry and David, LLC in Medford, Oregon is seeking a focused Forklift Operator to safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count materials and products in a busy warehouse environment.

You will operate forklift trucks certified, use RF gun/scanner for data entry, perform daily inspections, handle put-away and retrieval, load/unload trailers, pull SKU quantities and assist in other departments as needed. The role requires standing 8–10 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adapting to temperatures.

Qualifications

• Certified to operate Forklift trucks.
• Proficient with RF gun/scanner for data entry.
• Able to perform daily equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks in a warehouse setting.
• Input data into Warehouse Management System using RF gun/scanner.
• Inspect equipment daily and complete pre-inspection forms.
• Move, store, retrieve, pick and deliver materials.
• Unload/load pallets from trailers and load trucks.
• Pull accurate SKUs and quantities with RF gun/scanner.
• Work across departments as needed.

Job description

This position is responsible for the safe operation of forklift trucks, used to move, locate, relocate, stack and count materials and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

• Certified to operate Forklift trucks.
• Use RF gun/scanner to input data into Warehouse Management System
• Inspect equipment daily and complete pre-inspection form.
• Operate equipment in an array of surroundings and multi-temperature settings (-10 ° to 90 ° )
• Put-away, transfer, retrieve, pick and deliver materials in storage.
• Unload and load pallets from inbound and outbound trailers.
• Load trucks and vehicles from the public
• Completion BOL’s
• Meet or exceed department standards
• Utilize RF gun/scanner to pull accurate SKU’S and quantities.
• Perform pre-stretching exercises (5-10 minutes)
• Performs other duties and works in other departments as assigned

Requirements

• This position requires the employee to stand, walk, twist and reach for entire shift (8-10 hours).
• This position requires the employee to lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis.
• This position requires the employee to work in heights as assigned (30 feet).
• Requires working in cramped workspaces and getting into awkward positions.
• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures.
• Exposed to sounds and noise levels that maybe distracting.
• This position requires the employee to successfully complete pre-employment screening and training class.
• This position requires the employee to see/read small print.
