Job summary

WHITLEY MANUFACTURING CO INC is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial trucks, move and stack materials, and load shipments in our Indiana warehouse. You will verify inventory, follow storage procedures, and assist with general site duties while maintaining safety and productivity.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to meet site certification requirements, and basic understanding of warehouse operations.

Position Objective: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and load materials in the warehouse(s). This role ensures efficient material handling while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, move, and stack materials or products in designated areas
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper operation and report maintenance needs
• Verify and track inventory, materials, and shipments for accuracy
• Follow site layout plans and storage procedures for proper material placement
• Assist with general warehouse or site duties as needed
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors
• Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
