Job summary

Career Personnel in Montgomery, AL is seeking certified sit-down forklift operators to join our team. 2nd shift 04:00 PM to 01:00 AM or until done Monday through Friday; 3rd shift 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM or until done Sunday through Thursday.

Efficiently transports materials to racks and lines, maintains safety, and supports on the kitting line as needed. The work environment includes warehouse conditions with variable temperatures and noise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience as a sit‑down forklift operator.
• Forklift certified and able to provide a copy of certification.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.

Tier One Supplier to Hyundai and KIA is seeking certified sit-down forklift operators to join their team!!

2nd and 3rd shift available for an immediate start.

2nd shift - 04:00 PM TO 01:00 AM or until done Monday through Friday

3rd shift - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM or until done Sunday - Thursday

SUMMARY

Efficiently and safely transports materials to appropriate racks and Line Operators in an accurate and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using a sit‑down forklift.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Assists on kitting line as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years related experience as a sit‑down forklift operator.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Forklift certified and able to provide a copy of certification or verify it with a previous employer.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and move a minimum of 70 pounds without assistance.
• Walk, bend, and climb stairs.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can vary from hot to cold and noise level can be moderate to high.
