Job summary

General Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Production Forklift Operator to ensure materials and products are correctly positioned for maximum efficiency.

You will operate a sit-down forklift with careful attention to safety and accuracy on the 2nd shift (2:45pm–11:15pm). You will move stock to pallets, transport materials to workstations, verify labels, inspect equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Must pass forklift training certification (driving and written).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be flexible and able to work extended shifts and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Transport raw materials, resin and supplies to production workstations.
• Verify packaging labels with Work Order posted at the Operator stand and label finished products pallets.
• Place finished goods to proper staging aisle in the warehouse.
• Visually inspect forklifts for damages or hydraulic leaks, verify horn and backup alarm work before each shift.
• Drain material from machine hoppers, weigh box and return to materials area.
• Weigh and scale finished product pallets and materials returning to warehouse.
• Comply with company policies, safety standards and housekeeping practices.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Reports to shift supervisor.

Job description

As an Production Forklift Operator you are responsible for assuring that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. You are expected to operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)

• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Transport raw materials, resin and supplies to production workstations
• Verify packaging labels are correct with the Work Order posted at the Operator stand and label finished products pallets
• Place finished goods to proper staging aisle in the warehouse
• Visually inspect forklifts for damages or hydraulic leaks, verify horn is in good working condition and the backup audible alarm is working before the start of every shift
• Drain material from machine hoppers, weigh box and return to materials area
• Weigh and scale finished product pallets, materials, resins that are being returned to warehouse
• Comply with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• Reports to shift supervisor

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, (May have to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed)
• 2nd Shift Hours 2:45pm to 11:15pm
