Job summary

DP World operates a new York, PA site where forklift operators are essential to keep the warehouse organized and meet customer needs. Starting pay is $19.21/hour on day shift and $21.21/hour on night shift.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Prior forklift certification.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties accurately.
• Ability to communicate with a variety of people.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts by customer orders and place them in storage areas.
• Read orders and determine items to move, gather, distribute or ship.
• Move items from bulk containers or shelves according to requirements.
• Scan materials and move them per standard work instructions.
• Keep the facility and work area organized at all times.
• Meet production goals and KPIs; schedule may fluctuate.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking to hire Forklift Operators at our location in York PA on Memory Lane. You will play an important role at this new site by ensuring that our warehouse is organized and able to meet the needs of our customers.

• Starting pay rates of $19.21/hour* on the day shift

About The RoleHow you will contribute

• Work in a traditional warehousing type environment while picking parts according to customer order and placing parts in work areas or storage locations.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
• Move items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or in bins according to customer requirements.
• Scans materials and moves them according to standard work instructions where applicable.
• Organizing facility or warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Able to work required scheduled deemed necessary to meet the production goals and Key Performance Indicators of the site. Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Prior forklift certification.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties within the designated parameters of standard work and work accurately.
• Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
