Job summary

Pratt Industries in Park City, KS, is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am). Starting at $21.34 an hour plus $0.75 shift differential. Full-time with benefits beginning day one.

You will move units, keep precise location records, perform light equipment maintenance, and support general operations. Must be eligible for forklift certification; 2 years of forklift experience preferred and familiarity with barcode scanners.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• Experience as forklift operator.
• Must be capable of getting forklift certified and safety conscious.
• Two years forklift operation preferred.
• Experience with scanner or barcode warehouse management inventory systems preferred.
• Must have ability to maintain and identify equipment maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

Description

Moving various sized units and or products from various sources to the next staging area. Responsible for maintaining accurate records as to the location of the each unit moved. Responsible for performing basic equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties. Assist general operations when needed.

Requirements

• Must be capable of getting forklift certified and very safety conscious.
• Two years forklift operation preferred.
• Experience with “scanner” or “barcode” warehouse management inventory systems preferred. Must have the ability to maintain and or identify equipment maintenance needs.
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, tape measure, and time management skills are needed.
• Must be able to function in extreme temperatures and must be available for weekend work schedules.

Language Skills

• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.

Mathematical Skills

• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Will be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
