Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a dependable forklift operator to move goods safely within cold and dry storage facilities. You will operate electric-powered forklifts, follow all safety standards, and support both customers and the team.

Daily responsibilities include recording weights in an RF system, performing equipment checks, and leading safety inspections. This role offers weekend shifts and room for growth within Lineage Logistics.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in Country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in cold and hot storage environments with protective gear.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs./18 kgs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
• Able to tolerate various noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods.
• Record weight, counts, and item condition in RF system.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Lead safety inspections of truck chalking and glad-hand process.
• Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions.
• Monitor battery charge, maintenance, and charging station.
• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.

Job description

We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and customer-focused personality who takes ownership of assigned tasks, works independently to achieve results, and is willing to step up and lead processes when needed regardless of title or position.

In this role, you’ll safely operate electric-powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products and materials while following all company and regulatory safety standards. Success comes from being dependable, proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting both customers and the team.

What you’ll do

• Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, transports, load and unload to a designated area
• List materials and record weight, counts, and condition of frozen food items via a Radio Frequency (RF) system
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Lead safety inspections on truck chalking and glad-hand process
• Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station
• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment

What you Bring

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions in Country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range:$16.97 - $28.65
