Job summary

Lineage is seeking a dependable forklift operator to handle pallets and materials, record item weights and counts via RF scanning, and perform daily equipment checks in a controlled storage environment.

Successful candidates will lift 40 lbs (18 kg) minimum, adapt to dynamic shifts including weekends, and maintain safe, clean workstations while supporting a high-standard logistics operation at Lineage.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 F / -25 C in cold storage sites or up to 100 F / 37 C in dry storage sites with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Position forks and other lifting devices under, over, or around pallets and materials.
• Record weight, counts, and condition of frozen items using an RF system.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance and check sheets.
• Lead safety inspections on truck chalking and glad-hand processes.
• Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions.
• Monitor battery charge and maintain equipment charging stations.

Job description

We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and customer-focused personality who takes ownership of assigned tasks, works independently to achieve results, and is willing to step up and lead processes when needed regardless of title or position.

What You’ll Do

• Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, transports, load and unload to a designated area
• List materials and record weight, counts, and condition of frozen food items via a Radio Frequency (RF) system
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Lead safety inspections on truck chalking and glad-hand process
• Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station
• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment

What You Bring

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range: $16.97 - $28.65
