Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, based in Salina, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for the Material Handling Department at the Salina Construction Equipment Facility. The role requires safe movement of parts, accurate part identification, and adherence to OSHA safety regulations.

You will work Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime on Fridays, and contribute to inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and timely loading/unloading of trucks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to use AS400 software.
• Ability to read prints and use tape measures/calipers.

Responsibilities

Forklift Operator – 1st Shift

Great Plains Manufacturing is looking for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our team in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Construction Equipment (CE) Facility.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
