Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Welder for our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina. Typical hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday with overtime on Fridays.

You will weld in various positions and operate welding robots while maintaining safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have MIG welding experience, can pass weld tests, and are open to Lean Manufacturing practices.

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Welder to join our growing team at our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina, KS.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.


• Operation of various welding robots.


• Able to lift heavy parts throughout the shift.


• Clean, repair and examine welds as needed.


• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift.


• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.


• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
