Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc., Land Pride division, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator at our Lucas, KS facility. This role supports the Material Handling team, moving parts to staging areas and ensuring accurate part delivery.

Shift is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed. The role requires safe operation of forklift equipment and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications

• Forklift license required or ability to obtain.
• Experience operating a forklift helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AS400 software.
• Ability to read blueprints and measure with tape.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Collaborate with other departments and operate other equipment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety PPE.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our Material Handling team at our facility in Lucas, KS.

1st Shift Forklift Operator

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one
• Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment helpful
