Palmer Logistics, now part of H.Essers, is hiring Forklift Operators to support material handling, shipping, receiving, and quality control in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Pasadena, Texas. Candidates should have 2–3 years of forklift experience and be capable of lifting 50 lbs, with a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

The role requires operating sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, using an RF scanner, and collaborating with teams to meet productivity goals.

Qualifications

YOUR CHALLENGES

Forklift Operators are responsible for receiving, shipping and quality control of various customer products consisting of non-hazardous and hazardous materials, food grade and other commodities. Forklift Operators will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating different types of equipment in a fast-paced environment, while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H.Essers.

• Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, and cherry picker.
• Pull and prepare product for shipping, including but not limited to labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, blocking, and bracing.
• Verify shipments for accuracy, and document and report any discrepancies.
• Utilize an RF scanner.
• Follow established company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
• Perform other duties beyond driving a forklift, including labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, cleaning drums and totes, and restacking bags and pails.

YOUR TALENTS

The ideal candidate has:

• 2-3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
• A flexible work schedule and the ability to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
• The ability to work in congested areas and a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• 2-3 years of experience handling hazardous materials.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs; bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; and walk and sit for extended periods.
• A detail-oriented approach and the ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English.
