Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a safety-minded Forklift Operator in Ontario, CA to move materials across the warehouse and production areas. You will operate electrical pallet jacks and forklifts, perform pre-shift inspections, and ensure accurate inventory and timely shipments.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, forklift experience, English fluency, and the ability to work either 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. OT is required. Certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift and warehouse powered industrial truck (PIT) experience.
• Two or more years of sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus; willing to obtain certification upon hire if needed.
• One or more years of warehouse clerk experience preferred.
• English fluency, both verbal and written, is required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and sit-down swing reach trucks.
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and verify safety devices.
• Unload inbound shipments, store materials, supply production lines, and load outbound shipments.
• Inspect trailers for safe use before loading or unloading.
• Verify material quantities and descriptions; ensure proper unitization and labeling.
• Load pallets efficiently to maximize trailer space and minimize damage.
• Complete material-movement paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform daily cycle counts.
• Keep equipment and work areas safe and clean per policies.
• Provide backup to Warehouse Clerk as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Must be available to work either shift: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., or 2nd shift, 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Overtime is required.

The Opportunity
