Our client in Michigan is seeking a Forklift Operator to support day-to-day material movement, inventory accuracy, and safe shipping readiness. You will operate powered equipment, load and unload, and ensure correct product counts from receiving to shipment.

Requirements include at least 1 year of forklift experience, ability to spend 80% of the shift on equipment, and strong safety and communication skills. This is an on-site role in Livonia with a team-focused environment.

Job description

Our client, a warehouse and logistics operation is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting day-to-day material movement, inventory accuracy, and safe shipping readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the drive to keep products moving accurately from receiving to shipment.

Pay Range: $18.50

Shift: Monday-Friday 9:30AM-6PM

What's the Job?

• Operate powered equipment (forklift/clamp truck or other power equipment) to load, unload, move stock, and stage products and materials (80% of the shift).
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of product are loaded.
• Check inbound and outbound products to ensure items are free of damage and infestation; confirm product code dates are properly recorded and match customer requirements.
• Keep accurate records and reports to support inventory accuracy; verify load accuracy, load stability, and product condition.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards, complete daily equipment inspections, and report variances as necessary.

What's Needed?

• Forklift operator at least 1 year experience.
• Ability to spend 80% of the shift operating powered material handling equipment.
• Basic familiarity with warehousing processes and the ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
• Ability to work the specified days shift and support physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, and kneeling as required.
