This role involves operating a propane or diesel sit-down forklift in an outdoor concrete yard to safely load and move heavy pallets onto trucks. The position combines skilled forklift operation with general labor tasks and a portion of customer service and basic computer work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane or diesel sit-down forklift to move and stack pallets in a concrete yard environment.

• Load pallets onto trucks, typically stacking two pallets at a time with a combined weight of approximately 5,000 pounds.

• Perform material handling tasks, including loading and unloading pallets and other materials as required.

• Work safely and efficiently in an outdoor yard, maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all safety procedures.

• Complete general labor tasks associated with concrete yard operations as needed.

• Handle customer-facing interactions in a professional and courteous manner, providing customer service support on site.

• Perform basic computer work related to customer service, documentation, or order processing for approximately 25–35% of daily duties.

• Inspect forklift and equipment before use and report any issues or safety concerns promptly.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in the yard and loading zones.

Essential Skills

• Considerable experience operating a sit-down forklift in an outdoor environment.

• Proficiency operating propane and diesel sit-down forklifts.

• Strong material handling skills, including safe loading and unloading of heavy pallets.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
