Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator - Material Handler for a contract to hire in Lawrence, KS. This role supports production, shipping, and inventory control by operating forklifts and related equipment. All shifts and start ASAP are available.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, staging materials, assisting with cycle counts, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment according to GMP practices. Onsite facility with focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of forklift experience.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification if not currently certified.
• Basic inventory, warehouse, or material handling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working on your feet throughout the shift.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented.

Overview

The Forklift Operator / Material Handler operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, store, and issue materials in a production environment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, supports production and shipping activities, and maintains a clean, safe workspace while following established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and involves operating forklifts, handling materials, and supporting production operations. The role requires frequent movement throughout the shift and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
