Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. in Houston is seeking a forklift operator to load/unload materials, receive and unpack supplies, and transport goods within the plant using both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
The role requires 2–3 years of field experience, basic computer skills, and a GED or high school diploma. You will perform duties under general supervision in a plant setting and must follow safety and company policies.
Load and unload trucks operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
Receives and unpacks materials and supplies
Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials
Supply plant with needed materials using the forklift
ability to work under general supervision in a shop environment
This position could involve a wide variety of job conditions and the possibility of off-hour responsibilities for plant facilities, which are unique to the facilities maintenance function.
Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and workers
Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Performs other functions/duties as required
High School education (GED)
2-3 years experience in the field or in a related area
Basic computer skills, and/or other required software
Preferred Skills:
Must have basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Must be able to keep clean and orderly area and the ability to assist in the inventory of tools and supplies
