Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator at our Dayton, TX site. You will load/unload and move material within the plant, yard, or worksite, and on/off trucks, while verifying deliveries against invoices and maintaining accurate logs.

The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to maintain forklift certification, read instructions, and adhere to safety procedures. You will support efficient operations and contribute to overall quality control and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Must maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
• Knowledge of plant layout including location of finished products and raw materials.
• Knowledge of paperwork flow for shipping and receiving documents.
• Adherence to plant safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload and move material within or near plant, yard or worksite, and on/off trucks.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved.
• Open containers using Hand tools as required.
• Receive materials into the plant and verify against invoices for accuracy.
• Count or weigh parts to verify quantity accuracy.
• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per manufacturer’s instructions and report repairs.
• Document actions and complete production and quality logs.
• Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests and adding value.
• Maintain general housekeeping in and around workspace and equipment.

Under direct supervision, operates forklift to load/unload and move material within or near plant/warehouse, yard or worksite as well as on and off trucks. Operates various hand tools as required. Receives and verifies materials against invoices to ensure accuracy of delivery. Count or weight parts to check quantity accuracy. Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying when repairs are needed. Documents actions, completes production and quality logs. May perform additional production/warehousing duties as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Opens containers using steel cutters, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Receives materials into plant and verify materials against invoices to ensure accuracy of delivery.
• Count or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying of needed repairs.
• Documents actions, complete production and quality logs.
• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• General housekeeping in and around personal work space and equipment.
