Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator to move materials, maintain a clean and safe facility, and support production needs. The role emphasizes strict safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $19/hour with room for advancement, and the job requires a high school diploma or GED along with forklift experience and basic maintenance skills. The successful candidate will be legally eligible to work in the US, be at least 18, and demonstrate teamwork,

Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
• Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures warehouse is clean, orderly and materials are properly stored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, services and performs any duties needed to support the mission.

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator operates and manages movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria and fulfills production needs.

Starting rate $19/hour with room for advancement

Key Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
• Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures that the warehouse is kept clean , orderly and all materials are properly stored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core value s.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment. Excellent listening, communication and problem solving skills, a dedication to safety, proven commitment to work and a self-directed attitude are expected.
