Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials, keep the facility clean and organized, and adhere to forklift safety criteria to meet production needs.

You will perform daily maintenance checks, report issues to technicians, load/unload trailers, and work in a fast-paced warehouse while following company safety regulations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, basic maintenance skills, and the ability to work as part of a team;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Basic operator-level maintenance experience.
• Legally eligible to work in the US and 18+.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
• Operates forklift in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures that the warehouse is kept clean, orderly and all materials are properly stored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

TheForklift Operator operates and manages movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria and fulfills production needs.

Hiring Range: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour based on experience

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
