Job description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials using hand trucks, reach trucks, or forklifts. They must maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify discrepancies in received loads against the manifest.

Shift Schedule: (2) 3rd shift Wed-Sat 7pm-5:30am; (1) Sun-Wed 8:00am-6:30pm; (3) Wed-Sat 8:00am-6:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Utilize manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks.
2. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
3. Handle materials, including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting, and other duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Identify and document overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
5. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
6. Follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
7. Maintain safety and compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies:

• Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap equipment.
• Experience with RF scan guns required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• High attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs unassisted.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above head regularly.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and operate warehouse equipment.

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour. The salary may be adjusted based on market conditions and other factors. Final salary will be discussed with the selected candidate.
