Job summary

M&M Manufacturing, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a skilled material handler to safely move components using forklift and overhead crane. You will load, unload, transport and store goods, inspect incoming materials, and maintain clean, organized work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Strong candidates have a High School Diploma and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with forklift (and crane) licenses a must; ERP and MS Office skills are assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Forklift license required; overhead crane license is an asset.
• Proficiency in English, strong time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport components and materials using forklift, overhead crane, pallet jack or hand truck.
• Inspect received components using plans, BOM, MOC and receipts.
• Identify components and materials and maintain accurate inventory.
• Keep reception area clean and manage pallet disposal and recycling prep.
• Attach slings, hooks or devices to lift equipment and materials.
• Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment.
• Communicate non-compliance with supply/quality and assist in non-compliance reports.
• Participate in unit loading and inventory counts as needed.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Position Summary

The individual will be responsible for the safe handling of small to large components and materials (sheet metal, structure) using a forklift. They will also load, unload, transport and store the goods using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet truck or hand truck.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.
• Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documents
• Identify the components & materials received
• Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)
• Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials
• Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment
• Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)
• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory
• Participate to inventory/material counts
• Participate when required in the loading of units
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience
• Computer Skills: ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)
• Certificates & Licenses: Forklift license required and overhead crane license (an asset)
• Strong sense of time, organization, and urgency
• Able to work independently and within a team
